Souks of Beirut is a shopping center in the center of Beirut designed by Rafael Moneo. The Lebanese tradition, with its stone obtained in the local quarry, is mixed with the contemporary architecture, with its play of volumes and textures. At night, the lighting accompanies the greatness of its main avenues with fully integrated and invisible luminaires. It is completed to give them warmth with a special luminaire made for this lily-shaped project and placed at a specific height to give it a pedestrian scale. This same luminaire continues along its narrow avenues that yields a very cozy effect. The functionality was taken into account at all times while creating a pleasant atmosphere that invites citizens and tourists to stroll through its avenues full of shops.
