Temporary lighting proposal for the vegetarian restaurant SOPA during LlumBcn 2020 festival. This restaurant wants to make a difference in improving the quality of life for people thanks to its light and healthy food offer. It has also demonstrated the importance of the family. Children are welcome to this restaurant because of its location (in front of a park) and the convenient logistics in the interior. These are values the concept for the nights of the festival of light is based. This is a proposal that goes beyond lighting. It has turned into an educational project where kids learn the importance of taking better care of themselves and eating healthy. The space turned into a fun exhibition where children have the chance to become artists during one night. They learn motivated by a drawing contest about fruits and vegetables. The chosen ones will be projected during the nights of OFFLlumBcn. SOPA restaurant’s wish was that it would be someone from the neighborhood to be in charge of this lighting installation. This action would create a sense of community. We make this wish come true by having the inhabitants of the district, the little ones, in this case, being the main characters of this light festival. This light and color show, that people will be attracted to, is a proposal where we combine art, lighting, and the education of the new generations. It will also help to build a sense of community in this district of Barcelona.
